"Oh, hey guys," Karen greeted Tom and Esau. "Bad luck, eh? This totally bites."
Fidelle noticed her friends appearing glum and immediately felt guilty. "I'm sorry, guys..."
"Oh, no! It's not your fault, Fidelle," Karen quickly said with an assuring smile. "It's just our own bad situations, that's all."
"Ooh! What tasty-looking children!" Fidelle's father noticed his daughter's friends and walked toward them. "I could just eat up--Oof!" He was elbowed by his wife, and he immediately stopped. "Eh heh, sorry darling."

"Yeah" Tom responded to Esau, also trembling a little. Fidelle's parents did seem to have a lot of personality, making it easy to see where thier daughter got hers.
"So, any idea whats planned for today?" Tom asked the group.

"I was able t steal, uh, I mean, acquire a schedule for today. Slinkman said it was gonna be surprise events," Esau commented, taking out a folded piece of paper and started unfolding it. "We're gonna do some parents/child activities through the day."

"Daddyyyy! Don't start that again!" Fidelle pouted. She turned to her friends and grinned sheepishly. "Sorry, guys. He's always like that."
"It's cool..." Karen said the to bat, but she also couldn't help but shudder from the comment. Her ears suddenly perked up as she heard the sound of a police car approaching the gate. Curiosity getting the better of her, she hurried to see what the commotion was about.

"And then, a swim parent/child swim. Then a lunch, some hunting... oh! Treasure hunt!" Esau exclaimed, looking at a schedule. "And then dinner..."

"Ooh! All of that sounds fun!" Fidelle squealed with joy. Her father looked just as excited as his daughter, yet her mother simply smiled calmly.
Karen ran up to the police car and watched as the door opened to show a policeman guiding a cat-lady out of the car. The lady, with quite the revealing red dress on her, peered down and smiled at Karen. "Hello, darling."
With a wide grin, Karen jumped up and embraced the woman. "Mama!"

Several miles away, a beat-up track was on the way down the main road of Prickley Pines. Ignoring the people crossing the streets, the car drove fast through the town, making people jump out its path. It head to the road that headed into the boy's camp.

Tom nodded, noting that now he and Esau were the only parentless campers. He let out a small sigh. "They seem like good people" the raccoon commented.
He eyed all the parents, seeing where their children got their personalities from.
